Martha E. Taylor (1845-1937)

Joseph Davidson Hunter was born January 17, 1847 in Etna, PA.  Joseph was living at home with his mother Catherine, sister Mary and two brothers, William and James in 1870.  He was listed as an Iron heater on the 1870 census.  In 1871, he married Martha E. Taylor (1845-1937), daughter of George Taylor and Eleanor Stewart.  Four children were born to Joseph and Martha: Mabel E. T., Joseph C. W., Oliver E. C., and Mary C.  By the 1880 census, Joseph was a Guide Roller and living in the family house on Prospect Street in Etna, PA with Martha's parents.  Joseph D. passed away shortly after having a heart attack on February 8, 1912.
