James Garfield Hunter was born in Etna, PA in 1843. The 1860
census lists him as a Blacksmith, living at home with his parents and siblings. He was still living at home with his
mother Catherine, brothers Joseph and William, and sister Mary in 1870. At this time, he, like his brothers, was listed
as an Iron Heater. James G. Hunter passed away November 2, 1926. He was never married.
